At Turk
Arabians we have limited our brood mare band to between three and five mares. We
made the conscious decision to focus on quality, not quantity. Realizing that
all great horses come from great dams, we first looked for strong tail female
lines. We found that the Russian blood lines were giving us the athletes that
we desired. In particular, we wanted to build our band of mares around
individuals that would be powerful enough in the rear end to be top performers
in reining. We find that we are consistently getting what we want by utilizing
descendants of Nabeg (Bairactar
sire line). Currently, we have three Nabeg
granddaughters, all from very strong tail female lines: Mammona,
Ptashka, and Emese.

*Vienna was purchased as
an 18 year old with the hope that she would provide us with one or two more
offspring. At 24 she had produced her 4th
filly for Turk Arabians after starting with one colt (Vortexx
). The
photo was taken when she was 21! *Vienna
was a 3/4 sister to the Russian stallion Balaton, who was the progenitor of the
Bairactar sire line through their sire *Menes. Balaton is the sire and grand sire of many
European and American champions.
*Vienna, Balaton, and Pesniar
share the same tail female lie to the Elite mare Ptashka, a full sister to
Topol and *Pietuszok. These blood lines
consistently produce tough to beat performance horses in all fields.

*Provodka the most beautiful mare they have ever
seen. She has even been compared to Monogramma -- only prettier. Her power and structure come from Nabeg and Topol, with Salon and
Aswan contributing beauty and showy attitude. *Provodka
is an outstanding individual that is a strong representative of her pedigree,
and who consistently produces better than herself.

*Minuet was a 3/4 sister to Provodka. She brings
